Seeing Pledges for Recurring Donations

Sometimes you may want to know if an individual has signed up to give a recurring donation before their first gift shows up as processed in Sola.

If you go into your Sola account and click on Contacts in the far left menu, then click on Show Filters, you can search for any donor by name. Then you can click on the donor’s name to see more details. If they have signed up in our donor management system to make a recurring donation that hasn’t started charging yet, it shows up in Sola as a “pledge.” 

The “start” date listed on the pledge is actually the day they created the recurring donation set up (versus the first date it will charge), but generally the donor has set it to start charging within a few weeks of that date.
