Our History.
Equipt, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2016 by the leaders of Summit Church in Fort Myers, Florida to function as the sending backbone for church plants, gospel organizations, ministry residents, and missionaries who align with the mission “to glorify God by making disciples who represent the gospel to every man, woman and child.”
Our Function.
Equipt serves the kingdom by providing clients with financial and operational services. Our goal is to minimize stress by operationally supporting our partners during their pivotal years of start-up. By relieving this burden, it permits leaders to focus on gospel saturation without the distraction of operational management. We also lighten the financial cost of hiring or outsourcing operational support. Equipt does require a small financial commitment, currently 5% of donations, to help with overhead and administrative costs. We partner with churches, organizations, and others to help offset expenses in order to keep costs down.
We support our partners until they are capable of supporting themselves operationally. This process is normally a 3-5 year commitment. We also provide training and a transition plan to all our partners. If desired, ongoing mentoring and training is also available.
